Is there such a thing as a Rage Donation?
95% of the time, I'm pretty much the face of the Joyful Giver. But you know, let's be real.
Right now, there is just so so so much out there that we feel we cannot control in this whirlwind of noise that is the current state of the world.
Here's something I can control - Join me in supporting DPS Foundation. I'm going to tell you why below, but if you'd rather skip the spiel, you can just DONATE NOW.
We are so happy that Mo Green will be the next State Superintendent for Public Instruction here in NC, but I don't have to tell you that our public schools are still under resourced and under attack. You see that on the news, at all levels of government. We're also at a critical point in dealing with our local public schools, again, with many variables still not directly in our control.
Yet, every day at the school level, we hear stories from DPSF-funded educators and community members working together to make our schools more equitable and inclusive, building for the success of every student.

Why should you support Durham Public Schools Foundation?
Because of steadfast and inspiring giving from this community, over our first five years, we have been able to send over $1.5M in grants directly into schools, give 86 college scholarships to DPS seniors, and engage over 2600 educators, students, and families in mental health and wellness programs.
Equally important to me is that here at DPS Foundation, we do the work with a strong sense of how we want to transform our schools, listening to families and educators on the ground, asking what do you need? Really, how are you?. I'm proud to be on such a smart, dedicated, and caring team. As a team, we are hoping to raise $8000 from our personal networks this season in a show of solidarity and spirit (we also challenged the Board, having beaten them last year in total dollars raised, and hope to do it again!) - I hope you'll join us!

Our public schools are the bedrock of our community, and we are unequivocally committed to supporting our DPS students, families, and educators.
Help us build a strong, equitable Durham for all by making a gift today.
